I wanted a rugged phone and this one may be ok but there are some things I do not like.
1. The PTT button is in a spot where almost every time I pull it from the holder it gets pushed and I have to say no I don't want it.
2. I copied several ring tones to my SIMM card before putting it in this phone and I have yet to figure out how to put them on this phone.

The phone is bulky in size but that is to be expected for a military grade phone. Battery life is very good. It's a real learning challenge to find things or to just do simple tasks. My Sony 760 was much easier; one step to get to the address book. The Rugby takes about three steps just to get to the start of it. Finding other areas is just as bad.

This phone is very big and heavy. T9 does not work like any other phones, it's actually quicker to type a text by hitting each key to the right letter. The phone also does not ring very loud.
